Carter County is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, designed to increase online services available to county residents and enhance the user-friendliness of the website.

After a six-month-long investigation of a suspected drug house in Healdton, Carter County Sheriff's deputies and Healdton police arrested Melissa Walk, Ryan Walk, and Kayla Bailey, all from Healdton, on Saturday.

The Carter County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating a new report of a scammer asking people for money.

Officials said a woman was attacked and killed by a neighbor's dogs on Thursday night. Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant said the victim -- whose name has not yet been released -- was attacked by seven dogs and later died from her injuries.

Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant says they got a call last night from a teacher at the school who was working late. She reported to deputies that she heard noises coming from outside the building.

Sheriff Chris Bryant signed an agreement with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation making OSBI the lead investigator on any officer-related shootings involving county deputies, the first such agreement in the state.
