With over 14 years of dedicated service in law enforcement, Sheriff DJ Long has built his career on the principles of integrity, hard work, and community service. His journey began at a young age, working tirelessly to support his family and learning the values that would shape his professional life.

Sheriff Long started his law enforcement career in 1988 with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, where he was mentored by exemplary leaders who instilled in him a passion for public service and a drive to positively impact his community. In 2012, he joined the Ardmore Police Department, continuing his mission to protect and serve. Along the way, he also served as a reserve deputy with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, further broadening his experience and commitment to public safety.
